Today we woke up at 6:45. When dad was crawling out of bed I was waiting for him. So dad fed me my breakfast and then he got dressed. Today mom climbed out of bed shortly after dad did. Dad and I were very surprised because she's been sleeping in an extra fifteen minutes. After mom got dressed I went to the door and she let me outside so I could take care of business. When I finished she let me back inside and she made breakfast for dad and herself. For breakfast mom and dad had apple and cinnamon oatmeal and chocolate almond milk. After everyone was fed and mom did the dishes we all went on our morning walk. When we got back we got ready to go to our new house. Our project at the new house is to wire it for the Internet. While mom helped dad with the wiring I did some exploring, introduced myself to one of the neighbors and tried to sleep. I didn't sleep as much as I usually do because I was excited about my new house and being in a new neighborhood. We left the Minnie at 8:15 and didn't get home until 3:45. We had a very long day at the new house. When we got home everyone was tired so when it was time for dinner mom baked the second half of the Papa Murphy's Bacon Cheese Burger Pizza for dad and hers dinner. Mom fed me my food for my dinner and gave me a little bit of her crust. After dinner mom took me for a walk around the property. We didn't walk too far because Scott, Casandra, Kurt (Casandra's dad) and Holly were outside so mom talked with them about our new house and I played with Holly. When we got home we called it a night. Tomorrow we'll be going back to the new house to finished the wiring and meet with Jerry. We're all tired so I'll say good night. Have fun.

Monday December 2, 2013

Today we woke up at 6:45. Dad crawled out of bed, fed me my breakfast and then got dressed. Mom crawled out of bed shortly after dad did, got dressed and then made oatmeal for dad and her breakfast. After everyone was fed and mom finished doing dishes we went on our morning walk around the property. When we got back to the Minnie we got ready to go to the lot. We left the Minnie at 8:00 and didn't get back until 4:30. Most of the time we were at our new house I stayed in the truck and slept. Mom let me out a couple of times to stretch my legs and say hi to everyone. I stayed in the truck because there was a lot of people around working and mom and dad didn't want me to pester them. The plumber was working on plumbing the house and a crew of four guys were installing the duck work. Dad was going to work on wiring the house for the Internet and wiring for the alarm system but he couldn't start until the guys were finished installing the duck work. While he was waiting to start he visited with the workers. Dad learned about their work and how their work has changed in the years. The workers were very nice and asked dad some questions just to make sure everything was done right. The crew putting in the ducks were finished in a couple of hours. When they were packing up to leave mom let me out of the truck so I could say hi to them. While they were saying hi to me Jerry showed up. The crew said their good-byes and mom put me back in the truck. While dad and Jerry did a walk through the house to see what needed to be fix mom decided she would join me in the truck. While Jerry was around he visited and calling his some of his subs. Jerry called an insulation company he uses to give a bid on our house. Dad called another insulation company to give a bid on our house. A representative from both companies showed up at the same time to do a bid. They knew each other and visited with each other. After the two guys walked around and took notes they said they would get back with us with their bids. When they left Jerry told dad that a few of his subs would be out tomorrow. Jerry was around for a few hours and when he left mom and dad decided they would leave also. On the way home mom and dad decided that they would have lunch and then go back to the house to work on the wiring. When we got back to the house the plumber was still there and it was daylight so mom and dad decided to start working on the wiring. Mom let me out of the truck while they worked on the wiring. They worked on the wiring for a couple of hours and stopped because the sun was starting to go down. On the way home mom and dad discussed about going square dancing at Eddie tonight. By the time we got home they decided they would go to Eddie. So mom fed me my dinner and then mom and dad got ready to leave. They wanted to stop by the gym to take a shower before they went square dancing so they had to leave the house at 5:30. As they were leaving mom gave me a snack and said good-bye. They returned to me about 10:00. I met them at the door and said hi to them. After saying hi mom took me for a little walk. When we got back to the Minnie we called it a night. Boy, was today a long day. I'm tired so I'll say good night.

Tuesday December 3, 2013

Today we woke up at our normal time. Dad crawled out of bed, fed me my breakfast and then got dressed. As dad was getting dressed mom decided she would get up. Mom crawled out of bed, got dressed and made breakfast for dad and her. They had apple and cinnamon oatmeal and almond milk. After breakfast was over mom did dishes and put a cooler together. When she finished we went on our morning walk. When we got back mom and dad got ready to go to our lot. Today they left me at home but I didn't mind at all because mom gave me a snack as they were leaving. They left me at 8:00 and didn't get home until 4:00. They were glad they left me at home because there were a lot of people there. The plumber was there finishing up his work. There were guys installing the windows and fixing things that were found during dad and Jerry's walk through. A couple of electricians were wiring the house. There were so many people working that dad couldn't work on his wiring until some of them left. About 2:00 the crew working on fixing stuff left and the only workers left were the electricians and the plumber. So mom and dad decided to work on their wiring. The wiring mom and dad were working on was for the computer, telephone, cable and alarm system. They worked on their wiring for about an hour or so and then called a day at the house. When they got home I was very excited to see them. After we said our hellos mom and dad sat down and relaxed. They relaxed for about a half hour and then they went to the gym to take a shower. They have square dancing lessons tonight and they were sweating all day so they needed a shower. When they got home I met them at the door to say hi. When we finished saying our hellos mom made pepperoni and ham sandwiches for dad and her dinner and fed me my dinner. After dinner mom took me for a walk around the property. When we got home mom and dad got read to go to their class. They're class was two hours long so they were gone for about three hours. When they got back to me I met them at the door and said hi. Afterwards mom took me for a short walk. When we got back we called it a night. Mom and dad had another long day so they were tried. I'm just happy that they're home. Well, I guess I'll say good night.

Wednesday December 4, 2013

Today we work up at 6:30. Dad crawled out of bed, fed me my breakfast and got dressed. Mom crawled out of bed when I had finished my breakfast and was grooming. She surprised me because dad was still getting dressed. Mom and dad wanted to leave a little earlier than yesterday because they wanted to be able to get a parking place at the new house. When mom got up she got dressed and then she made oatmeal for dad and her breakfast. After everyone was fed we went on our morning walk. While we were walking one of our neighbors, Larry was walking his dog, Scooter so we stopped and visited with them. After our visit we continued our walk. When we got back to the Minnie mom finished getting ready to go to the new house. As they were leaving she gave me a snack because I was staying at home. Mom and dad thought there may be a lot of people would be working and I would be happier here sleeping than in the truck. They were right because I had the run of the whole Minnie, which meant I could sleep anywhere I wanted like the couch, mom's seat or the dinnett seats. They left me at 7:45 and didn't come back until 4:30. Man they were gone a long time. When they got to the new house the electricians were the only ones there. The electricians finished up wiring the house. It was amazing it took two electricians one and a half days to wire the whole house. Mom and dad finished wiring the low voltage lines, wiring for the alarm system and stringing most of the speaker wires. They ran out of speaker wire so they need to wire for one more speaker tomorrow. They wanted to get as far as they could today because tomorrow it's suppose to be cold. About 9:30 the roofer showed up. They delivered the shingles yesterday. Mom and dad were surprised because the roofing crew was only one guy and usually there are four or five guys. Yesterday when the shingles arrived the roofer was there to load the shingles on the roof. It was amazing watching them deliver the shingles because they used a forklift to lift the shingles to the roof and then the roofer unloaded each palette of shingles. So today when he showed up he was already to shingle. Mom and dad were very impressed because when they were leaving he was over half done with the roof. He was real fast. When mom and dad got home I was very excited to see them. I met them at the door and jumped out of the door just to say hi. After they said hi to me mom barbecued some pork ribs. Dad crawled up on top of the Minnie to put a plastic bag around the antenna because it has a little leak and there's rain and ice in the forecast. After mom finished barbecuing and dad finished wrapping the antenna we went inside and had dinner. Mom and dad had the boneless pork ribs and a tortilla and mom fed me my food for my dinner. Oh, I almost forgot mom also gave me a little bit of her pork. After dinner mom took me for a walk. Today we weren't in any hurry to get home because mom and dad are going to stay home with me all night. As we were walking we stopped and visited with a neighbor, Tommy. After mom's visit with Tommy we went home. On the way home we saw Greg taking his dogs to the dog run so mom grabbed my collar and stirred me towards the Minnie. Greg saw us and turned around and started to go back to his house to wait for me to get back to the Minnie. One of his dog, Jasmine came over to me to say hi. We said our hellos and then mom took me inside so Greg could take his dogs to the dog run. Once we were inside mom and dad decided they would go to the gym so they could soak in the jacuzzi and take a shower. As they were leaving mom gave me a snack and said they wouldn't be gone as long as they usually were. They were too tired to workout. Mom and dad we gone about an hour because on the way home they stopped and had an ice cream cone at McDonald's. When they got home we called it a night. So I guess it's time to say good night.

Thursday December 5, 2013

Today mom and dad slept in until 6:45. The cold front has arrived it is in the 30s and the wind is blowing. Mom and dad are both cold but I don't mind the cold at all. Dad crawled out of bed, fed me my breakfast and then started to get dressed. While he was getting dressed mom crawled out of bed. Mom said hi to dad and me and then she made maple and brown sugar oatmeal for dad and her breakfast. While the water was getting hot mom folded up my bed and opened the door so I could go out. When the oatmeal was ready I was ready to come back inside. After everyone was fed mom did the dishes and put a cooler together. Afterwards we went on our morning walk. When we got back mom and dad got ready to go to the new house. They were going to leave me at home but I wasn't about to be left behind. So I pestered them and wouldn't let them get out the door so they gave in to me and took me with them. They figured no one was going to be working at the house because it was too cold and it was going to get colder. On the way to the new house we stopped at Lowe's and The Home Depot to pick up a few things. We also stopped at the storage center to pick up a few tools. We arrived at the new house at 9:00 and left at 1:30. Mom let me out of the truck but after I did a little exploring she put me back in the truck because she didn't have time to keep an eye on me. I didn't care as long as I was with mom and dad. Today mom and dad finished wiring for the speakers and tacked up the low voltage wires so get them out of the way of the sheet rockers. Mom and dad also made a couple of speaker boxes. It was so cold that mom had to take a break in the truck just to warm up. Once she warmed up she went back to help dad finish up their projects. We had a very productive day now it's time to go home. On the way home we stopped by the storage center and dropped over some tools and items we don't need any more. Afterwards we went home. Once at home mom made some soup for dad and her lunch and she gave me a little snack. After lunch we stayed in the Minnie and just relaxed. Mom read, dad surfed the Internet and I slept. A little before it was time for dinner mom made some blueberry muffins for a snack. When it was time for dinner mom cooked up some bowtie noodle and chili for dad and her dinner. She fed me my food for my dinner and she gave me a few noodles. After dinner mom took me for a walk. When we got back we called it a night. The rest of the night we stayed inside and relaxed. Now it's time to say good night.

Friday December 6, 2013

Today we woke up at 6:45 and it was in the low 30s. Dad crawled out of bed and started to get dressed. When he got out of the bathroom I was waiting for him to feed me so he did. When I finished eating I went to the door to go out so dad opened the door to let me out. Afterwards dad continued to get dressed. While he was getting dressed mom crawled out of bed and said to dad and me. Then she got dressed and made breakfast for dad and herself, which was cinnamon and spice oatmeal. While the water was getting hot mom straighten up the Minnie. When everyone was fed mom did the dishes and put a cooler together. After mom finished doing the dishes she took me for a walk and dad was doing a little research on heaters. We have a small electric heater and it's been working real hard to keep the Minnie warm. Dad thought if we had another one maybe it didn't have to work as hard. While mom and I were walking around it started to rain so we cut our walk short. Mom pick up dad's paper and we walked real fast to get to the Minnie because the rain was coming down pretty hard. I didn't hesitate about going inside the Minnie today because I was getting wet. When we got inside mom dried me off. She told dad that it was freezing outside and raining. Mom and dad decided that they weren't going anywhere today because it was too cold and wet. So mom read most of the day and dad did a little research on the Internet. I slept and pestered mom and dad on and off all day. For lunch mom cooked up some soup for dad and herself and she gave me a snack. After lunch mom and dad went grocery shopping and bought another heater. As they were leaving mom gave me a snack. They decided to leave me a t home because it was too cold for me to stay in the truck while they were shopping. I think they were right. I was glad they left because now I can go on the soft couch and sleep. When they got home I was comfortable sleeping on the couch. But when I saw them I got off the couch and went to the door to say hi. Afterwards mom put the groceries away. When she finished she needed to go to the dumpster so I decided that I would walk with her. While we were gone dad set up the new heater but when we got home he told mom that the heater didn't do what he wanted so we had to take it back. This time when mom and dad went to exchange the heater for another one I went with them. They invited me because they weren't going to be in the store too long and I wouldn't get too cold. When we got back to the Minnie it was almost time for dinner. So mom made baked Ziti for dad and her dinner. Mom gave me a little bit of the noodles as a snack. When it was time for dinner mom fed me my food for my dinner. After dinner mom took me for another walk. When we got back mom baked some chocolate chip cookies for dessert. After we had dessert we called it a night. Tomorrow it's suppose to be colder than today so I'll say good night.

Saturday December 7, 2013

Today we woke up at our normal time. It's really cold!!! The temperature is in the low 20s and it's windy. The cold didn't bother me at all. Dad braved the cold and crawled out of bed. Dad fed me m breakfast and then got dressed. After I finished my breakfast dad let me outside so I could take care of business and then he let me back inside. Mom wasn't as brave she crawled out of bed after dad got dressed because she knows that when dad gets up he sets the heater from 60 degrees to 70 degrees. It was nice last night because we had two heats working together. One was in the back of the Minnie and the other one was under the table keeping our feet warm. After mom said hi to dad and me she got dressed. She decided that she wanted to keep warm so she put on a sweatshirt and jeans. When she finished getting dressed she made oatmeal for dad and her breakfast. After breakfast mom did the dishes and put a cooler together. When she finished she took me for my morning walk. Dad didn't go with us because he had to call T-Mobile to add money to our Internet account. When mom and I got back dad was still on the phone. Everytime dad has to add time to our account it takes him awhile. When dad finally got off the phone he had Internet again. Mom decided to do laundry but when she went to the washing machine the water either was turned off or the line had frozen up. She got back to the Minnie and told dad about it so they decided to go to a laundromat. As they were leaving mom gave me a snack because it was too cold for me to stay in the truck while they did laundry. They were gone for a couple of hours. When they got home I was glad to see them. After we said our hellos mom put the laundry away and then she made lunch. She made soup for dad and her lunch and gave me a little snack. After lunch mom work on her word find book, dad surfed the Internet and I slept. I didn't sleep long because I wanted to go outside. Mom told me it was too cold but I wouldn't leave her alone until she took me out. It took me awhile but she finally gave in. But she didn't give in without a fight. She tried to make me feel guilty by saying she would suffer the cold and take me out. I didn't feel guilty at all in fact we stayed out a long time. While we were walking around King came by because he was baby sitting Baby and Holly while Scott and Casandra were on a cruise. He thought mom and I were crazy because it was cold. He decided to take Baby and Holly to his shop because it was too cold for him to keep going back and forth from his place to Scott's place. The cold didn't bother Holly or me but it really bothered Baby. She was shaking all over because she was cold. Mom and I felt sorry for her so we let King go back to his shop. After he left we went back to dad. The rest of the day we stayed in the Minnie to keep warm. When it was time for dinner mom heated up some baked Ziti and fed me my food. After dinner I got sink so mom had to clean my bedding. She went to the washing machine by King's shop to wash it. This machine was working so she washed my bedding. Once my bedding was finished getting wash she put it in the dryer closer to our Minnie so she wouldn't have to walk too far in the dark. When it was time to get my bedding out of the dryer dad was surprised she got back so soon. She said she only had to go to the dryer she usually uses. Dad thought she went by King's shop. When she got back she baked some chocolate chip cookies for dessert. While we were relaxing in the Minnie mom got some bad news. Her dad died so dad made reservations for her to flight to Tucson. He had been in real bad shape for a couple of weeks so it wasn't a surprise he died. Mom said it was best he died because now he wasn't in any pain and he was in heaven. After dad made the reservations we called it a night.

Sunday December 8, 2013

Today we slept in until 7:00. It's going to be another cold day. It's not going to get higher than 41 degrees. Dad crawled out of bed and fed me my breakfast. Afterwards he got dressed and then he surfed the Internet. Mom decided to stay in bed until 7:15 because she was cold. When she finally got up she made oatmeal for dad and her breakfast. After breakfast mom did dishes and then she took me on my morning walk. Once again dad stayed home while mom and I went on our walk. When we got home mom and dad were determined to stay in the Minnie until they went to the gym but I was determined I wanted to go for a ride. I was cooped up in the Minnie too long I didn't care where we went as long as we went somewhere. So about 8:30 I started to pester them. They finally gave in after about an hour of pestering. Our new heater was making a noise so we decided to take it back to Target and exchange it for another one. So that's where we went. While mom and dad went to exchange the heater I stayed in the truck. They returned our heater and then they went back to get another one. But when they got where the heaters were there were only a few small ones. So when they left Target they walked over to The Home Depot to get a heater. When they got there they didn't have any heaters so they came back to me. It got so cold so early and fast that people went out and bought heaters. After leaving The Home Depot they went over to Walmart. They figured that they probably wouldn't find a heater because they didn't find one in Target or The Home Depot. When they went into Walmart they didn't find the heater they wanted but they ended up buying a smaller one. They said they probably could live without a second heater but it was nice to have a backup one. When they got back to me we went back to the Minnie. By the time we got back to the Minnie it was time for lunch. Mom made Spicy Chili soup for dad and her lunch and she gave me a little snack. When we finished lunch mom and dad went to the gym. They were at the gym for about an hour and half. After their workout they went to the storage center so mom could get a suitcase and dad could pick up a couple of tools. Then they went to our new house. When they got to the new house they were surprised because there was a gentleman working. He was fixing somethings that needed to be fixed and he was installing the pillars on our back porch. Mom and dad were glad they showed up because the plates for the wood pillars were the wrong plates. Dad told the worker they were wrong and explained why. The guy said he would talk to his boss and tell him the problem. The worker also asked dad to show him the things that had to be fixed and explain to him what the problem was. While the worker worked on fixing the problems mom and dad replaced some washers and nut on the anchors of the outside walls of the house. Mom and dad were at the new house for an hour and a half. As they were leaving the worker was calling it a day and because he had done a great job dad tipped him. He didn't want the tip but dad insisted on him taking it. He thanked dad and they all said their good byes. Then mom and dad came home to me. When they got home it was dinnertime so mom heated up some more baked Ziti for dad and her dinner. She fed me my food for my dinner. After dinner mom took me for a walk. During our walk we walked by King's shop and King and Kujo were getting ready to go to PetsMart. So we said hi to them. After visiting for a little while mom and I went back to dad. When we got back mom baked cookies for our dessert. After dessert mom called her sister Andrea to tell her that she was going to be in Tucson tomorrow and to find out what was going on. Aunt Andrea told her that Pop's funeral isn't going to be until Friday or Saturday and mom was going to come back to Texas Friday morning. So when mom got off the phone dad was a little upset because he already made plane reservations and if he changed the reservations it would cost another $200.00. The real reason he was upset was because mom would have to be gone a week and he would miss her. I would miss her also. Mom understood how he felt because she felt the same way. I guess we will all manage without each other. Dad told mom he wasn't going to change her reservations because he wasn't sure what to change them to. So when she got to Tucson and found out exactly what's going on she would have to change the reservations. I guess it's time to say good night because we have to wake up at 4:30 in the morning because dad and I have to take her to the airport in Killeen. Good night.

Monday December 9, 2013

On Saturday mom received a phone call from her sister Andrea, who told her that her dad had past away. So dad made arrangements for her to fly to Tucson to attend his funeral. Mom's dad was a very special person, who showed his love through his actions. He just missed his 87th Birthday by two days but he lived a full life. He is now in heaven and looking down on us everyday. Mom will miss him very much and so will dad and me. Today dad and I took mom to Killeen Airport at 5:00 in the morning because her flight was at 6:30. I will let mom continue with her adventure to Tucson.

As you know my trip to Tucson was for my dad's funeral. My dad was a great man and will be missed by everyone who knew his. I loved him very much and will always love him. Dad you are the greatest and I love you. My adventure started at Killeen/Fort Hood Airport after I kissed my husband Larry good-bye and said good-bye to Flo. My flight out of Killeen to Houston left the gate on time but we had to wait a few minutes before taking off because of the fog. The visibility was only 1/8 of mile and it needed to be 1/4 mile. Once the fog lifted a little we were off. The flight was smooth and comfortable. We landed in Houston on time. I got to the right gate with plenty of time to spare because I had an hour and half lay over. Everyone was waiting patiently for the plane to arrive at the gate. The attendants at the gate was notified that the plane was delayed for an hour. That was ok with me, I worked on my Sudoku. When the plane following came to the gate we were notified that our flight was cancelled. The crew on the plane weren't going to Tucson instead they were going to Charlotte. I've traveled many times before and I never had problems like this. The attendants at the gate had to we schedule passengers going to Tucson as their final destination on another flight. All the flights on United Airlines to Tucson were fully booked so some people were put on stand by and others were rescheduled for the morning. At first I was rescheduled on a flight to Phoenix so I called my sister Andrea to see if she could pick me up in Phoenix. She said no problem. Then I called Larry and told me that it would be fair to Andrea to go all the way to Phoenix to pick me up. So I went to customer service to get it rescheduled to go to Tucson. They told me all the flights were full. So I called Larry again he told me to talk to customer service and tell them I needed to go to Tucson not Phoenix. So back to customer service I go. The lady there put me on the stand by list for the next two flights to Tucson and on the first flight tomorrow. So I called Larry and told him that I was on stand by and I would call him to tell him what flight I got on. After talking to him I called my sister back and told her she didn't have to go to Phoenix that I would be flying into Tucson. I also told her I would call her when I got in town. So I waited in the Houston Airport from 7:30 in the morning until 6:30 in the evening. The flight I finally got on was the first flight I was on stand by for, which was scheduled at 5:30. But we didn't leave until an hour later because we were waiting for one of the attendants to get off another flight, which was delayed because of weather. The reason there was such a problem was because there was a fire in the terminal yesterday and they were playing catch up from that problem. The reason I was using United Airlines was because Larry routed me out of Houston instead of Dallas because Dallas was shutdown because of the ice storm they had. I was glad when I finally got to Tucson, which 8:30 Arizona time. Once I got my rental car and checked in the Comfort Inn I called Larry and told him I finally got to Tucson. Then I called my sister and told her I was in town. The third call was to Shirley, who is Larry's mom. After making my phone calls I called it a night.

Tuesday December 10, 2013

Today I woke up at 6:30 Arizona time, which was 7:30 Texas time. I went to the breakfast area, which was just down the hall from where I was. I took my breakfast to my room. After eating my breakfast I called Larry and talked to him for about a half hour. About 9:45 I gave my sister Andrea a call and told her I was headed over to mom's house. She said she would be there about 11:00. Mom was glad to see me because I hadn't seen her since her 60th Anniversary Celebration in August. I don't go to Tucson to visit that often but it's nice to see mom when I do. I stayed and visited with her all day and didn't leave until 8:00. During my visit I found out that the services weren't going to start until Friday evening. I was scheduled to fly out Friday morning so tomorrow I would have to rescheduled my flight until Sunday morning. My dad was very religious. In the Catholic Church when someone dies there is a memorial ceremony. The ceremony has three parts to it. The first part is a viewing with a rosary, the second part is the funereal mass and the third part is the burial. The viewing was going to be until Friday night because they were getting a special coffin made for dad. The coffin was being built by Monks in Idaho and it would take three days to built it. The coffin is made out of walnut and each tree they used to make the coffin they plant a new one in its place. So today I hung around and visited with mom while my sisters Alexis and Andrea worked on the services. While visiting with the family they asked what I was wearing I told them I was going to wear black jeans. I don't really own a dress and what clothes I do own are in storage because we have been living in a 21' RV and there's not a lot of room in it. So Andrea called my sister and asked her if she had a dress for me to wear. Donna said she did so she bought over a couple of them. I tried them on and they fit perfectly. Thank you Donna. About 8:00 I decided to leave and go back to the motel so I said my good-byes. When I got back to the motel I called Larry and talked to him. He told me it was cold but he did get to the new house and rebuilt the speaker boxes. When he went to the house he took Flo with him. After talking to him I called it a night.

Today I woke up at the same time as I did yesterday. I got dressed and then I went to the breakfast area and got breakfast. I brought back to my room. After I finished my breakfast I called Larry and talked to him for about a half hour. Today I'm not going to go to mom's house until in the afternoon because I'm going to go to lunch with Shirley. But before meeting with Shirley I had to go shopping for shoes and nylons to go with the dresses. I found a pair of black shoes at Walmart that would work. After I finished shopping I called Shirley and met her for lunch at Chili's. We visited for a couple of hours and then we said our good-byes. After Shirley went home I called my sister Andrea so see what's going on. She said they were driving around trip finishing up on a few things and they would be back at mom's house in a couple of hours. So I decided to go back to the motel and relax for awhile. When I got back to the motel I workout for about a half hour and relaxed until Andrea called. Then I went back to mom's house and visited with them until about 9:00. Larry called me and he was a little upset because I forgot to call him so we didn't talk too long. After Larry called I said my good-byes and then I went back to the motel. Once at the motel I called it a night.

Thursday December 12, 2013

Once again I woke up at 6:30 and got dressed. Afterwards I went and got breakfast. When I got back to my room I ate my breakfast and then I called Larry. We talked about a half hour on whats going on with our house. After talking with Larry I went to my mom's house to visit. I got there a little earlier then I normal and mom was sleeping so I let her sleep. Alexis and I had a little chance to talk awhile. I spent all day at mom's house visiting. About 6:30 my great nephew Ethan came by. My niece Danielle had a dinner with her friends so she dropped him off. He didn't know who I was but once he got to know me we had a great time playing. When his mom returned she was happy to see how well we were getting along. About 8:30 I excused myself from the family and went outside and called Larry. We talked for a little while and then I went back inside the house. About 9:00 we all said our good-byes and I went back to the motel. When I got to the motel I called it a night.

Friday December 13, 2013

I woke up at my normal time and got dressed. Then I went and got my breakfast. After I finished my breakfast I called Larry and talked with him for a half hour. After I got off the phone with him I had a little while to relax around the motel because I'm not going to my mom's house until 3:00 because the rosary part of the ceremony is tonight and it doesn't start until 5:00. Last night when I got back to the motel I decided to curl my hair so today I decided to keep the curlers in my hair until it was almost time to go to mom's house. While I was waiting to go to mom's house I decided to go to a dollar store to buy some snacks and a couple of things. When I got back to the motel Andrea called me to say that mom wanted us to go to her house about 12:30 so we could go to Brings Funeral Home for the last view of dad before the ceremony tonight. So I took a shower and headed towards mom's house. We went to the last viewing. Dad looked very peaceful. The coffin was gorgeous and the funeral home did a fantastic job at prepping dad. After making sure everything was ready for the ceremony tonight we went back to mom's house. We went over to St. Joseph's Catholic Church about 4:00. We wanted to be there early just to make sure everything was ready for the viewing. The rosary was very beautiful and a lot of people showed up. I didn't know too many of them because I haven't been in Tucson for aver 25 years. It was great to see my nieces and nephews. My sister Donna's two oldest Kaitlyn and Kalie put a beautiful slide show of their Pop's Life. After the rosary was over we went back to mom's house and had little snack. Afterwards we called it a night because we had a long day. Before I called it a night when I got back to the motel I called Larry and talked for a half hour.

Saturday December 14, 2013

I woke up at my normal time and had breakfast. When I finished eating I called Larry and talked with him for a little while. When I finished talking with Larry I got dressed for dad's funeral and burial. The services starts at 10:30 but I wanted to be at mom's house about 9:30. When I got there my sister Mary Beth was there. We visited for about a half hour and then we went to St. Joseph's Catholic Church. We were there a little early just to make sure everything was ready. All nine of us kids and 13 of the grandkids walked down the aisle with Pop. There were five priest doing the funeral mass. One of the priest wasn't going to be there but ended up being there which was outstanding because dad really like him. Dad's devotion to Mary was so great that we did a special offering to her. After the funeral mass we had a big procession to the All Faiths Memorial Park, where his granddaughter Sophia is buried for his burial. Dad was a World War II Veteran so we had a Naval Burial, where mom was presented with a flag. This was a very special moment for mom and when the taps were played it was live and not taped. It was a very moving burial ceremony. Dad you will be missed very much but I know you're in a happy place. Love you. After the burial everyone headed to the reception, which was at Jethro's. There were over 400 people that showed up. Dad was so devoted to mom, family and unborn babies. After everyone left the reception some of the family went back to mom's house to visit for awhile. Before say good-bye to everyone I got a chance to play with Ethan. About 8:00 I said good-bye to everyone and went back to the motel. When I got back to the motel I called Larry and we talked for a half hour. After I got off the phone with Larry I called Shirley to say good-bye before I leave in the morning. It was great to see everyone again but now it's time to say good-bye and go back home.

Sunday December 15, 2013

Today I woke up about 6:00 and got dressed. Then I went to the breakfast area and got some breakfast. I went back to my room and ate my breakfast. After I finished my breakfast and went to the airport. My flight was at 8:30 but I wanted to be there a little early because I had to return my rental car. A couple of days ago I verified my flight reservation and got my seat assignments. But when I was checking in at American Airlines they showed that I had a reservation but it didn't show that I paid for the date change of my flight. I told them that my credit card was already charged for the change so they wrote a note that said I had paid for the flight. No problem after typing the note she reassigned my seat with the same ones I already had. When I got to the gate I called Larry and told him that I was on the same flight number as I was scheduled for Friday and I would be in Killeen at 1:50. I didn't have any delayed at all today. I flew into Dallas and had a lay over for an hour and 20 minutes. When I got to Dallas I called Larry again and told him that everything went as plan and the flight to Killeen was on schedule. When we got to Killeen it was a few minutes early. As we were walking out of the gate I saw Larry. He told me that he had just got there. That was great he didn't have to wait long. When we got to the truck Flo was waiting. She didn't act like she missed me at all. She looked at me like where did you come from. Once I was in the truck she just laid down and went to sleep. On the way home we stopped and had lunch at Taco Bell. After lunch we swung by the new house to check it out. While I was gone the house was insulated, the sheet rock, brick and rock was delivered and they had installed the windows in the garage. When we got home and we got out of the truck Flo finally got excited to see me. For rest of the day we just hung around the house and relaxed. I was bad while I was gone. I ate so much that I put on five pounds now I have to get back on my diet.
