May Lake Adventures 2006

LOCATION: Austin, Texas     SITE: Lake Travis     DATE: May 2006    DISTANCE: 4 miles
Well it's getting hot so dad put the Minnie away for the summer. I like the summertime because I get to go boating and swimming in Lake Travis. Lake Travis is just down the road from where I live so my parents and I go there a lot. Where I live we have a homeowners park located off Lake Travis, sometimes Mom and I walk to the park where I explore, swim and play with my friends. Some days my parents and I have a barbecue at the park. Wow, this is life, what else can I ask for. I'm a happy dog I go camping, hiking and boating.
Lake Travis is one of the six Highland Lakes in the chain of lakes on the Colorado River in Central Texas. Lake Travis is a big lake, it's 60 miles long. I live 4 miles from Mansfield Dam where dad puts the boat in the lake during the week and you can do many things there.

My parents and I spend a lot of time at the lake in the summertime. While my mom and dad waterski, wakeboard and airchair I lay on the seat and watch them. After they're finished skiing, wakeboarding and airchairing dad drives to a cove so I can go swimming and chase the ducks. I swim as fast as I can to catch the ducks but I can't, I know I can't catch them but it's still fun trying. Please, click on my picture at the top of this page so I can share some of my adventures at the lake.
