We had a busy day but very exciting and fun. We woke up at our normal time. Dad crawled out of bed and fed me my breakfast. While dad was getting dressed and I was finishing my breakfast mom crawled out of bed. She got dressed and then she fixed breakfast for dad and herself. Mom had apple and cinnamon oatmeal and dad had toast. After everyone finished their breakfast we went on a walk around the property. When we got back mom did the dishes and put a cooler together. When she finished we went outside because dad wanted to finish sealing the seams of the Minnie. Today mom climbed on the roof to help dad. After dad cleaned the surface dad started to put down the tape and mom helped him. The tape was very sticky and dad needed mom to hold the roll up while he put tape on the seam and over screws because once the tape is down it's impossible to get up. After he put the tape down he rolled it with a roll to make sure that it was down tight over the seam because he didn't want any leaks. While mom and dad were working on the seams I sunned. After awhile I got bored and wanted to go inside so I barked. Mom and dad told me they were on the roof and couldn't let me in. I was confused on where mom was even though she called me and I looked up and saw her. After I barked a couple of times dad came down and let me inside. While they were working on the roof Jerry called and said that the dirt man (Diamond) was spreading the dirt for the foundation. Dad told him we would be there an hour or two and thanked him. Mom and dad finished working on the seams about 11:00 so mom made lunch for us. Mom made soup for lunch and gave me a little snack. They had been working on the seams for three hours and they needed to rest a little before going to the lot. After we rested mom asked me if I wanted to go with them to the lot. I was very excited about being invited I jumped up off the floor and went to the door. We all loaded up into the truck. When we got to the lot Diamond had already spread a few loads of dirt and was working on his Bobcat while he waited for the truck driver to bring some more dirt. While we were at the lot I stayed in the truck and mom and dad watched Diamond spread the dirt. Our last house we didn't watch the dirt guy spread the dirt so this was very exciting for mom and dad. Diamond had to put at least five feet of dirt where the back of the house was going. After being at the lot for an hour and half mom and dad decided to leave because Diamond had a lot more dirt to spread. By time we left it was getting hot. When mom and dad got to the truck I was so hot that I had crawled on the floor board to get out of the sun. Dad felt bad because he had parked in the sun so we drove down to the ramp so I could go swimming. When we got to the ramp I was so glad that I didn't even stop to sniff before I went swimming. It felt so good to cool off I didn't want to get out of the water. While we were at the ramp we met a man and his dog Bell. She was a 16 month old German Shepard and she loved to swim and retrieve. She and I played a little. Bell's dad had a doctor's appointment and told her they had to go. But Bell didn't want to go because she was having too much fun playing with me and retrieving. I had a great time at the lake. When we got home I didn't go inside because I wanted to sun. Mom and dad let me sun for about a half hour. After I finished sunning mom and dad went to the gym. As they were leaving mom gave me a little snack and said good-bye. I finished my snack and watched them drive away. They were at the gym for a couple of hours. When they got home I met them at the door to say hi to them. After we said our hellos we relaxed for about an hour or so before mom fixed salami sandwiches and beans for dad and her dinner. She fed me my food. After dinner mom tried to get me to go for a walk but I was too tired. She really wanted me to go out before dad and her went square dancing but when I refused she said it was ok she would take me out when they got back. They left me at 5:45 to go square dancing because the class start at 6:30 and they wanted to stop by and check the mail before class. As they were leaving mom gave me a snack. When I finished my snack I went to her chair and watched them drive away. Mom and dad had a great class and they learned a lot. They got back to me about 9:30. After we said our hellos mom took me for a walk. This time I was ready to go. We walked around the property to Kujo's house but when we got there the three legs dog was going for a walk so we turned around and went home. We turned around and went home because this dog isn't friendly. When we got home we called it a night. We had a super day and I'm tired. Good night.

Park Closure Sign

Wednesday October 2, 2013

Today we slept in until 7:30. Dad crawled out of bed and fed me my breakfast. Dad was getting dressed and I was grooming when mom crawled out of bed. Mom got dressed and made breakfast for dad and herself. After everyone was fed we went on our morning walk around the property. On the way back dad picked up his paper and the headline in the paper was Belton Lake Closed Because of Government Shutdown. When dad read this headline they were disappointed because they were planning to go boating. When we got home I stayed outside to sun and mom and dad went inside and relaxed. We I finished sunning mom and dad decided to go to the lot. This time they left me at home so when mom was leaving she gave me a little snack. When I finished my snack I went to mom's seat and watched them drive away. When they got to the lot no one was there but there was three loads of dirt to be spread. Diamond showed up a little while later and said he should be done today and the concrete guy (Jose) would be there tomorrow to help him form the house layout. Mom and dad visited with Diamond for a little while. Afterwards they drove towards the ramp to see if it was closed. They were a little surprise because this ramp isn't manned. But I guess when the government shutdown it meant all the ramps and parks on the Belton Lake manned or not. I guess mom and dad won't be boating any more this year. I was lucky I went swimming yesterday. Now if I want to go swimming dad will have to park on the street and I would have to walk on leash around the gate. What a bummer. As they were leaving the lot to come home dad stopped by (George) a neighbor's house to talk to him because he questioned what the easement was between his lots and our lot. He thought it was ten feet and we have seven feet. Dad explained that the easement was five feet. George was ok with that and they visited for about an hour while mom waited for dad in the truck. When mom and dad finally got back to me it was 12:30. I greeted them at the door. After we said are hellos mom made lunch. She cooked up some soup for dad and herself and she gave me a little snack. After lunch mom washed her new jeans. We stayed around the house for the rest of the day. Mom worked on her Sudoku and my Website, did surfed the Internet and I slept. Occasionally I would go outside and sun. When dinnertime came around mom barbecued shrimp and pork for dinner. While she was barbecuing Casandra and Holly came over to visit. When they left mom came inside and we had dinner. Dad had the pork for his dinner and mom had the shrimp. Mom fed me my food and gave me a couple of her shrimp. After dinner mom took me for a walk. As we were walking we saw Holly on her porch so we went over to say hi to her. When we were saying hi to her Kujo came over to say hi. Kujo's dad had a couple of clients come by so Kujo and I went over to say hi to them. Mom said good-bye to Holly and then she told me it was time to go home. So we said bye to King and went home. On the way home we stopped to say hi to Baby. When we got home we called it a night. Mom and dad watched a DVD and I slept. After the movie mom worked out for 45 minutes. We had a very quiet day but now it's time to say good night.

Today we slept in until 7:30. Dad crawled out of bed and fed me my breakfast. Then he got dressed. Mom crawled out of bed while I was grooming and dad was dressing. Mom got dressed and then she fixed breakfast for dad and herself. Dad had his regular breakfast which was toast and mom had apple and cinnamon oatmeal. When everyone was fed we went on our morning walk around the property. When we got back mom did the dishes and put a cooler together. When she finished putting the cooler together she and dad went grocery shopping. As they were leaving mom gave me a little more of my food as a snack. When I finished eating my snack I went to mom's seat and watch them drive away. Mom and dad have been trying to go grocery shopping early in the morning and before the weekend because it's not as busy. They were gone for about an hour. When they got back I met them at the door to say hi. After saying hi I laid down in the kitchen and watched mom and dad put the groceries away. After they finished putting the groceries away they went to the lot. They left me at home today because they were taking the car. So mom gave me another snack as they were leaving. This time I didn't go to her seat to watch them drive away instead I went down the table and went to sleep. When they got to the lot Diamond was there using a chain saw to cut up the trees he had taken down. Dad asked Diamond if he remembered that he still had to take down a couple more trees down and cut off an arm of another. He said I forgot so he stopped the chain saw and took down the two trees he forgot about. He told dad that he had to wait on the arm until he got someone else out to help. Dad told him that was ok. Diamond was waiting for the truck driver to bring him more dirt so he could finish the base dirt for the foundation. Dad asked him how many more loads were going to drop. Diamond told him probably four more loads. Mom and dad talked with Diamond for about a half hour and the truck driver never showed up so Diamond decided to load up up tractor and other equipment and leave. He told dad that he would be back after the truck driver calls him and tells him that he has dirt. So everyone left the lot. On the way home mom and dad stopped at Al's Bar-B-Q Barn in Temple for lunch. They wanted to try out some of the barbecue places in the area. For lunch they both had a sausage wrap and a chop beef sandwich. The sausage wrap was what they expected because the sausage was wrapped in a piece of bread and the wraps they usually have the sausage is wrapped in a tortilla. They said the barbecue was ok but not like Southside in Elgin. After they ate they came home to me. Once again I met them at the door. We all said hi and then mom and dad relaxed and I went outside to do a little sunning. After a half hour mom and dad decided to go to the gym so mom told me I had to come in. As they were leaving mom gave me a little snack. I finished my snack and then I went to mom's seat and watched them drive away. They were at the gym for a couple of hours. They were back to me by 3:00 and it was too early for dinner. So I sunned and mom and dad relaxed. As we were relaxing Scooter and Larry started to dig a trench in between Greg's fifth wheel and our Minnie for a new RV spot Scott wants to put in. At 4:30 mom started to the barbecue grill so it could heat up because she's going to barbecue some seasoned chicken for dad and her dinner. While mom was barbecuing I stayed inside to keep dad company. When dinner was ready mom fed dad the chicken and then she fed me my food for my dinner. Afterwards she sat down with dad to have dinner. After everyone was fed mom gave me one of the bones. When I finished the bone mom took me for a walk around the property. Today the only friend I saw was Baby. When we got back home we went inside for the rest of the night. We had a very relaxing day.

Friday October 4, 2013

Today we woke up at our normal time which was 7:00. Dad crawled out of bed and fed me. Dad was starting to get dressed and I was just finishing my breakfast when mom crawled out of bed. Mom surprised both of us because she usually stays in bed an extra 10 minutes before getting up but not today. While mom and dad were getting dressed the plumber showed up to work on the plumbing of the new RV site next to us. After mom and dad got dressed mom made breakfast for dad and herself. Dad had his toast and mom had cinnamon and spicy oatmeal. After breakfast mom did the dishes and then we all went for a walk around the property. While we were walking Larry was getting ready to go to work and stopped to say hi to us. After saying hi to Larry we continued our walk. When we got back to the Minnie mom put a cooler together. Today mom and dad are going to Kileen to pick out the granite and marble for our new house. This is very exciting for us. As mom and dad were leaving to go to Kileen mom gave me a snack. After I finished my snack I went to mom's seat to watch them drive away. As I was watching them mom waved good-bye to me. The plumber smiled and mom explained to him that she always waves good-bye to me. They were gone for a few hours. Shawna at Kileen Marble had bid the marble in the baths and the granite in the kitchen so mom and dad talked to her about the bid. Shawna got the bid and walked through it with mom and dad. The first thing they did was choose the granite they wanted. They had 13 different granite to choose from on the display. Mom and dad decided on a couple of different colors of granite. So before they decided on the one they really wanted all three of them went to the yard and looked at the granite. Shawna told mom and dad that because granite is a natural stone that the colors in the slabs will vary in color and design. Mom and dad decided they wanted Giallo Ornamental. As they walked around the yard Shawna showed them a few different batches of Giallo Ornamental. Mom and dad were surprise because the color they choose was more of a brown and they saw one that was gray. They decided on a batch of granite and explained to Shawna that it will be a few months before they needed it. She said that was ok they would hold that batch for them. The granite that is at Kileen Marble is from Brazil. After the granite was chosen it was time to choose the marble for the bathrooms. They decided on a light brown marble for both baths. The next item they had to decide on was the bevel of the marble, which they decided on a half bull nose. Then they had to decide on what type of sinks they wanted, which they decided on medium oval ones. The final decision they had to make was soap dish they decided on the large soap and shampoo dish. By the time they went through the bid they had saved money on the sink in the kitchen but had spent a little more on the soap dish in the shower. So they were within their budget. Good job mom and dad. After leaving Kileen Marble they went to our lot and check the mail and then they came home to me. They were gone for a few hours. I met them at the door and to say hi. After we said our hellos mom made lunch for dad and her. Mom usually make lunch about 11:00 but today it was almost 1:00 so she was a little late. She made chicken and dumplings soup for dad and her and she gave me a little snack. After lunch I went outside for a little while to sun. We hung around the Minnie all afternoon relaxing. Dad did some research on the Internet on wiring our electronics in our new home and then he ordered a few things. Mom worked on her Sudoku until she couldn't keep her eyes open then she took a nap for about an hour and I slept. When mom woke up she workout for a half hour and then she barbecued some seasoned pork ribs for dinner. I like it when mom barbecues chicken or pork because than I can have some. Mom also heated up some beans to go with the pork and she fed me my food for my dinner. Yes, she also gave me a couple pieces of her pork. After dinner she took me for a walk around the property. The only friend we saw during our walk was Baby. When we got back to the Minnie mom worked out for another hour. After her workout she sat down with dad and they looked at different kitchens on the Internet. So they could get an idea on what color of cabinets to have in our new house. We had a very exciting day. Life is Good!!!

Saturday October 5, 2013

Today we woke up at 7:15. Dad got up and fed me my breakfast. While dad was getting dressed and I was grooming mom got up. Mom got dressed and then she made breakfast for dad and herself. They had their normal breakfast. Dad had toast and mom had apple and cinnamon oatmeal. After everyone was fed we went on our morning walk. When we got back mom did the dishes and put a cooler together. About 9:00 mom and dad went to our lot. As they were leaving mom gave me a snack and said good-bye. They didn't take me along because they were going to stop at the Bell County Exposition Center on the way home. I didn't mind because I could sleep while they were gone. After I finished my snack I went to mom's chair and watched them leave. On the way to our lot mom and dad stopped at The Home Depot to pickup a pole. When they got to the lot no one was there but this didn't surprise them because it's Saturday. While they were at the lot they did a few measurements. Dad was afraid that when they staked out the house on the base dirt that they were too far over where the garage was going to be. When they measured the distance they found out that the house needs to shift over to the other property line a foot or more. Where the house was staked out at there was only 13 feet for the drive and dad needed at least 14 feet to back the Minnie down to the back. So he text Jerry and Jerry called him. Dad explained the problem and Jerry said he would take care of it. This was the first time dad has ever texted anyone and it was successful the first try. Good job dad!!! After talking to Jerry they left the lot and went to the UPS store to check our mailbox. When he finished doing that mom and dad went to the Bell County Exposition Center to watch the Travis Agility Show. The agility show wasn't in the arena instead it was in the Equestrian Arena. Mom and dad were there for about an hour. The show was harder to watch because the bleachers were only four rows high and there were bars around the arena and you had to look through them to see the dogs. There were two different courses for the dogs. One had the bars to weave through, jumps and tubes to do. The judging was pretty hard two mistakes and the dog is done. But what was weird about this course was that it varied on where the dogs went it depended on the handler and the dog. The other course had bars to jump, tubes to crawl through, an A frame to climb and blocks to jump over. The judging on this course was easier. Mom and dad had fun watching the dogs go through the course. They told me that there was one dog that was lazy like me. She wouldn't jump over any of the jumps and walked real slow so her handler gave up. Mom doesn't think I'm lazy it's just the way I am and she loves me the way I am. After watching the dogs for awhile they walked around the outside and watched a crew of men replacing the tiles on the roof of the Exposition Center. The Exposition Center is a dome so it was a challenge to do this task. After watching the crew for a little while they came home to me. By the time they got home to me it was 12:30. When they got to the door I was there to greet them. After we said our hellos mom made soup for lunch and she gave me a little snack and a chicken bone. After lunch I went outside to sun. When I finished mom and dad decided to go to the Texas Early Day Tractor and Engine Association Annual Show. Once again they left me behind because they weren't sure if dogs were allowed and they didn't know how big the show was. As they were leaving mom gave me a snack and said good-bye. I did my normal routine and watched them drive away. Mom and dad were gone for a few hours. When they arrived at the show the tractor parade was going on so mom took pictures of the tractors. They walked around for an hour and half. As they walked around they saw a lot of old tractors, trucks, cars, engines, a bus and old buildings. They also watched the tractor pull for a little while before they left. They enjoyed walking around and looking at the old equipment. When they got home they told me that the show was so big that by the time we walked the whole show I would have been exhausted. Mom and dad got back to me at 4:00 and I met them at the door to say hello. Mom tired to get me to go out but I refused to because I was happy in the Minnie. When dinnertime came around mom heated up the left over pork and tortillas and dad and mom had wraps for dinner and I had my food and mom gave me a couple little pieces of the pork. After dinner mom tried again to get me to go out I refused again. Mom saw Casandra and Holly going in Scott's house and said hi to them. Then Casandra told Holly she could come over and say hi to mom. So she came running to mom when she got to our house mom opened the door and Holly jumped inside. Then I decided to go outside with and play. Casandra was getting ready to go camping with Scott and she needed to go back to her trailer and pick up a few things. So she invited mom to walk with her back to her trailer. So Holly and I joined them. On the way back mom had stopped and said hi to Baby. After walking to Holly's house and back we all said bye and mom and I went home. Once at home we went inside and called it a night. We had a busy day and I'm tired so I'll say good night.

Sunday October 6, 2013

The temperature last night went down into the fifties so it was very comfortable to sleep. I woke mom and dad up about 12:30 last night because my ear was bugging me. Dad crawled out of bed to take care of me. He put a little bit of my ear rinse on a cotton ball and then put it in my ear. When he took the cotton ball out to check it for any gunk. My left ear was clean and my right ear didn't have a lot. I don't mind it when dad cleans my ears because the rinse feels good. Dad was glad that my ears weren't messed up because it usually takes a couple of weeks for my ears to clear up. After cleaning my ears dad went back to bed and I went back to sleep. Once we went back to sleep we didn't wake up until 7:30. Dad got up first and fed me my breakfast. Then he got dressed. When I finished my breakfast and dad had finished getting dressed mom decided to get out of bed. She got dressed and then she made breakfast for dad and herself. Today dad decided he would have oatmeal instead of toast. Dad had apple and cinnamon oatmeal and mom had maple and brown sugar oatmeal. After everyone was fed we went for a walk around the property. Mom and dad were feeling guilty because they haven't really exercised me since we been here. Usually this time of year we're on a Fall Trip so I go hiking or walk around the campgrounds, which are bigger than Scott's property. So when we got back to the Minnie dad decided to take me and mom to Temple Lions Park. We walked around the park for about an hour and then we went to the dog park. While walking around we saw a lot of people jogging, walking and taking their dogs for a walk. We walked the two mile trail around the park. The trail was very nice  because it was a concrete trail. When we were walking back to the truck an older couple stopped and visited with us. Their dog had just died a few days ago so they wanted to pay attention to me. After they finished playing with me we went to the dog park. I visited the park before and there were no other dogs in the park but today there were a lot of dogs. As the day went on more and more dogs were showing up. All the dogs were very friendly and so were their masters. One man had three dogs 2 greyhounds and a lab. The greyhounds liked dad and the lab, Pepper was like me just wanted to watch the other dogs play. Dad was amazed how friendly the greyhounds. Their master said that greyhounds were very friendly especially to man. One lady told us that it took two years for the city to build the dog park. I had a great time at the dog park because I met a lot of dogs. By the time we left Lions park I was tired. Lions Park was very nice with a playground, a disc golf course, baseball fields, soccer fields, barbecue grills, covered picnic tables, group picnic areas, two trails that go around the park and a dog park. After leaving the park we drove around and looked at a couple more parks. When we got home it was almost time for lunch but I didn't want to go inside because the weather was nice so I stayed outside to soak up the sun. I was only outside for a few minutes before barking to come inside. When I got inside it was time for lunch so mom made some soup for dad and her lunch and she gave me a little snack. After finishing lunch I went outside for about a half hour to sun. When I came inside mom and dad got ready to go to the gym. As they were leaving mom gave me a little snack. Once I finished my snack I went to mom's seat and watched them drive away. They were gone for a couple of hours and they returned to me at 2:30. When I heard them open the door I tried to get up from under the table but it took me awhile to get a grip. But once I got a grip I went to mom and dad to say hi. While mom was waiting to make dinner she did a load of clothes and worked on her Sudoku, Dad got caught up on his reading on the Web and I went outside to sun. When dinnertime came around mom browned some taco meat outside. Mom and dad had tacos for dinner and I had my food for my dinner. After dinner mom tried to get me to go outside but I refused because I was way too tired to move. So she gave up. We relaxed the rest of the day. We had a very nice day and I'm tired so I say good night now.

Today we woke up at 7:15. Dad crawled out of bed and fed me my breakfast. Afterwards he got dressed. After I finished my breakfast and I was grooming mom crawled out of bed. Mom got dressed and then she made breakfast for dad and herself. Today they both had oatmeal. Dad had cinnamon and spice oatmeal and mom had maple and brown sugar oatmeal with their oatmeal they had almond milk. When everyone finished their breakfast we went for our morning walk around the property. After our walk mom did dishes and put a cooler together. Mom and dad decided to drive by the lot to see if Jose moved the stakes over a foot. Before they left mom gave me a snack and said they would be back in a little while. They left me behind because they were going to take the car. That was ok with me because it gave me the opportunity to recuperate from my adventure at Lions Park yesterday. When they got to the lot no one had been there yet but they still stopped. Dad walked the lot to check things out. Afterwards they drove around a little bit before coming back to me. When they got home I greeted them at the door. After saying hi to mom and dad I went outside to sun. When I finished sunning it was time for lunch so mom cooked up some soup for dad and her lunch. She gave me a little snack. After lunch mom watched Scott finished up his new RV site. He filled in the trench that was dug for sewage and water. He did a great job. While mom was watching Scott dad decided to caulk some of the seams on the Minnie. Dad went outside and started doing this project when mom decided to go outside and help him. They weren't outside too long when I decided to join them. While they were filling the seams I sunned. When they finished the project they went inside and I went inside with them. For the rest of the afternoon we hung around the Minnie. About 4:15 mom decided to workout for a half hour before she made dinner. When it was time for dinner mom heated up the leftover taco meat and dad and mom had tacos for dinner and I had my food. After dinner mom did the dishes and then she took me for a walk. We did our normal walk and the only friend that was outside was Baby. So we stopped by and said hi to her. When we walked by Kujo's home. King was gone and Kujo was locked up in the shop. When he heard us he wanted to come out and play so he barked and whined. Mom said hi to him though the door and apologized for teasing him. Holly's house was across the drive and she was looking at us. Her mom Casandra must of been sleeping because she kept looking behind her. Mom told me we had to go home because we were teasing Holly and Kujo and it wasn't fair to them. On the way back we stopped by and said hi to Baby again. When we got home mom finished her workout. After she finished we relaxed for the rest of the night.

Tuesday October 8, 2013

Today we woke up about 7:30. Dad crawled out of bed and fed me my breakfast. While he was getting dressed and I was finishing up my breakfast mom crawled out of bed. Mom got dressed and then she made apple and cinnamon oatmeal for dad and her breakfast with the oatmeal they had almond milk. After everyone was fed mom did the dishes and put a cooler together. When she finished we all went for a walk. Dad picked up the truck keys because he wanted to get mom and his jackets out of the truck because it was a little cool. I thought we were going somewhere so I took care of business real fast. While I was taking care of business dad had gotten a phone call so mom took me on the rest of our morning walk. After dad got off the phone he took mom and me to Lions Park. Saturday when we had been here we didn't finish the trail around the park because I was too tired so today we did. We walked for about an hour. While we were walking we saw a few people and dogs so I had to walk on leash. I had fun even though I was on leash because I did a little exploring and I met a dog. He was nine years old and he looked like a pup. He was a German Wirehaired Pointer. When we finished our walk and was going to the truck we noticed that people were showing up at the dog park so we went to the park. While we were at the park I met a few new friends. The German Wirehaired was there so we said hi again. We weren't there too long because I was tired after our hour walk. When we got back to the truck and I got in we went home. On the way home we stopped at Walmart so dad could pickup his prescription. When we got home I stayed outside to sun. It was too early for lunch so mom and dad relaxed for about an hour. Mom cooked up soup for dad and her lunch and she gave me a snack. After lunch we chilled out for an hour or so and then mom and dad went to the gym. As they were leaving mom gave me a snack and then said good bye. Today after I finished my snack I stayed in the kitchen and relaxed instead of going to mom's seat. Mom and dad were gone a couple of hours. When they got back I greeted them at the door to say hi. Afterwards mom and dad relaxed for a couple of hours and I went back to sleep. Then mom made dinner. Mom and dad had potatoes and gravy and ham sandwiches for dinner and I had my food. By the time we were finished with dinner and mom finished doing dishes it was time for dad and mom to go to square dancing lessons. Mom gave me a snack and said good bye as they were walking out the door. This time when I finished my snack I went to mom's seat and watched them drive away. They were gone for a couple of hours. When they got home I was very excited to see them. I greeted them at the door and said hi to them. After I finished saying hi to them mom took me out so I could take care of business. When I finished we went inside and called it a night. We had a fun and busy day. Now I'm tired so I'll say good night. LIFE IS GOOD!!!!!

Dad woke us up at 6:30 because he couldn't sleep. He crawled out of bed to go to the bathroom. Shortly after dad got up mom crawled out of bed. Once she got out of bed she fed me breakfast and then got dressed. While dad was getting dressed mom made breakfast for dad and herself. It's been getting cold in the morning so dad has been having oatmeal for breakfast. Today dad and mom had maple and brown sugar oatmeal and almond milk for their breakfast. After breakfast mom did dishes and put a cooler together. When she finished putting the cooler together we went for our morning walk around the property. When we got back to the Minnie mom and dad got ready to go to our lot. Today they left me at home because they were going to take the car and go to Kileen. So before they left mom gave me a snack and said good bye. As they were driving away I was in mom's chair watching them. They left the house about 7:30 and didn't get back until 3:00. They didn't make it to Kileen but they had a great day. Mom and dad are very excited because Jerry and his subs are starting to work on the house. Today was exciting because they were drilling holes and forming pillars. Our lot had a slop and they had to bring in fill and the fill was over 5 feet so they have to put beams in the foundation to strengthen it. So today Dee drilled seven holes and Manuel helped him by moving the dirt out of the way. It was very interesting watching Dee drill the holes. Mom and dad watched him for over an hour and then they went to town to go to the restroom. While they were in town they checked our mail and went to lunch. Mom and dad ate at Taco Bell. They had the Crunchy Box, which was a crispy taco, bean burrito, a crunch wrap Supreme for $5.00. When they finished lunch they went back to the lot. Dee was finished drilling and he wanted to be paid but dad had forgotten his checkbook and Jerry was suppose to be there. Jerry hadn't showed up yet so mom and dad came home to get it. As they arrived at the Minnie Jerry called and said that he was at Belton High School. Dad told him that he was in Temple and would be at the lot for another half hour. Dad told Jerry he could either pay Dee or Dee could wait until dad got back to the lot. After getting off the phone with Jerry dad came in the Minnie to get the checkbook and mom waited for him in the car. I wanted to go with him but he said I had to stay at home so I stayed at the back door until he left. When they got back to the lot Dee was gone and Jerry was telling Manuel what was next to do. Manuel had to cut the rebar into pieces to fit in each of the seven holes. Three of the holes were 10 feet deep, two were about 8 feet and the other two were about 4 feet. After Manuel finished sawing the rebar he was going to put the bars in the holes when dad asked about tying the rebar together. Manuel didn't have the wire or the other rebar to do this so he had to go back to the shop to get the rebar and wire. While Manuel was gone the cement truck showed up. Jerry told Phil the driver that we were waiting for the Manuel to come back. While they were waiting for Manuel to come back Jerry and dad talked about building homes. Manuel returned 45 minutes later but he didn't come back alone he had a helper. Once Manuel got back it didn't take long to tie the rebar together because everyone helped. After the first four rebar pieces were tied together Jerry helped Manuel put it in the hole. Once it was in the hole the cement truck backed up the truck and started to pour the cement. After the cement came out very thick but then it started to thin out a little. As the first hole was being filled mom and dad helped Manuel helper tie the rest of the rebar together. About 2:30 they were finished poring all the pillars. Mom and dad had a great time watching this whole process. They also enjoyed helping out when they could. After saying bye to Jerry they came home to me. As they were walking to the Minnie Scott stopped them to visit. Scott had been working on the electricity on the new site all day and he was finishing up and just wanted to visit. He told mom and dad when he was using the bobcat yesterday he found five baby rabbits in a hole and he didn't want to hurt them so he moved them to another one. So he showed mom and dad the bunnies. They were so small it was hard to see them. After mom took a picture of the bunnies they came home.  I was very excited to to see them because they were gone all day so I met them at the door. After saying hi to mom and dad we all went inside and relaxed for a little while. Then mom took me outside. Greg and his dogs were outside so after I took care of business mom put me back in the Minnie with dad. After Greg took us dogs home mom let me go outside to sun. About 4:30 mom took me for a walk around the property. As we were        walking we stopped by to apologize to Kujo for tease him the other day. He was inside but when mom told King that she wanted to apologize to him. King smiled and let Kujo out. Kujo was very excited to see me and mom. King and mom visit while Kujo and I played. We weren't there too long because it was time for dinner. When we got home mom made dinner. Mom and dad had a ham sandwich and chips. Mom heated up the leftover potatoes and gravy for dad. Then she fed me my food for my dinner. After dinner we just stayed inside and relaxed.

Today we woke up at our normal time, which was 7:15. Dad crawled out of bed and fed me my breakfast. As dad was getting dressed and I was grooming mom crawled out of bed and got dressed. Afterwards mom made apple and cinnamon oatmeal for dad and her breakfast. When everyone was fed mom did the dishes and put a cooler together. When she finished we all went on our morning walk around the property. When we got home we went inside and relaxed for an hour. Then mom and dad decided they were going to Kileen to pick out the cabinets they wanted for the house. As they were leaving mom gave me a snack and then she said good bye. After I finished my snack I went to mom's chair and watched them drive away. I wanted to go with them but they weren't sure how long they were going to be in The Knot Hole looking at cabinets. That was ok with me. They arrived at The Knot Hole about 9:00 and talked with Liz Corn about the bid they gave Jerry on the cabinets in the new house. Liz is the owner of The Knot Hole. Liz showed mom and dad what style of cabinet that was in the bid, which was a knotty alder flat panel. Mom and dad decided that they wanted to get the red oak wood instead of knotty alder but they stayed with the flat panel. After deciding on the style and type of wood they talked about the rest of the cabinets to make sure everything was in the bid. They were at The Knot Hole for about an hour. After leaving The Knot Hole they decided to go to House of Floors to talk over the bid for the flooring going in the new house. When they got there they went to the desk and talked to Gina Johnson about Jerry's bid but she couldn't find his bid but they did find a bid from John. So they worked off his bid. Gina showed mom and dad the flooring that was in the bid. Mom and dad really didn't like the laminate flooring that was in the bid. So they decided on Mohawk Country Oak. The tile they decided on was Mossdale (Glazed Porcelain) in the 18" tile, which was an upgrade. They also had to decide on the back splash in the kitchen. They're going to use Mossdale in a smaller size with a glass accent. Mom and dad aren't sure if they're going to go with House of Floors for the flooring because they're a little high in cost but they're going to wait to see what the bid comes in at. They were at House of Floors for a couple of hours. I'm glad I stayed at home because I would've been in the truck all that time. After leaving House of Floors they came home to me. They got home about 1:30 and I was happy to see them. I met them at the door to say hi to them. After we all said our hellos mom made lunch. She made Chipotle Chicken and Corn Chowder soup for dad and herself. Mom gave me a little snack for my lunch. Mom and dad decided they would spend the rest of the day with me. After lunch I went outside and sunned for a little while. While I was sunning mom worked on her Sudoku and dad did some research on different floors and cabinets. I barked to come inside after sunning for about a half hour. I got hot so I went inside to cool off. About 3:00 mom decided to workout for an hour and half. She didn't go to the gym but she workout in the kitchen while I slept. When she works out at home she does a Jazz routine she memorized from her Roku, she does some boxing she remembers from her Gold Gym for the WII and she does a little Yoga. Dad and I are proud of mom because even though she doesn't go to the gym she still works out at home. When mom finished her workout she relaxed for a half hour and then she made dinner. She microwaved some bacon and tortillas. Mom and dad had bacon wraps for dinner and I had my food and a little bacon for my dinner. After dinner mom took me for a walk. We were gone for a half hour because mom talked to Casandra while I played with Holly and Kujo. When we got back to dad we went inside and called it a night. Tonight was very relaxing mom and dad watched a DVD (Avatar) and I slept. We had a super day now it's time to say good night.

Today dad woke up at 6:15 and crawled out of bed. Mom got up a few minutes later and dad told her she didn't have to get up. She said she had to go to the bathroom anyways. While dad was getting dressed mom made breakfast for dad and herself. Dad had toast and mom had maple and brown sugar oatmeal. After everyone was fed we went on our morning walk. When we started our walk the sun was just starting to come up. When we got home mom and dad decided that they would go grocery shopping. Mom didn't give me a snack today because I just had breakfast so I went to straight to her chair and watched them drive away. They were gone for about an hour or so and when they got back I met them at the door. After everyone said hi mom started to put the groceries away. Today it took mom awhile to put them away but when she finally finished we all loaded up in the truck. Mom and dad invited me to go because they were going to the lot. On the way to the lot we stopped at West Temple Community Park. While we were there we started to walk the trail but we only walked about half of it because it started to sprinkle so we started to walk back to the truck. On the way back we walked by the splash park and mom took pictures. West Temple Community Park is a beautiful park with a hiking trail, radio control airplane area, soccer fields, basketball hoops, volleyball court, concession building, playground and a cute splash park. The first time we were at West Temple Community Park was August 19th. During this visit the splash park was running and we saw kids playing in it. But today's visit the splash park wasn't running so we didn't see the water dumping out of the buckets. We had fun at West Temple Community Park even though we were there a short time. When we got back to the truck we went to the lot to see if it had water and electricity. Dad was a little disappointed because there wasn't a temporary pole on the lot for the power company and the water company hadn't been there. After leaving the lot we stopped by UPS Store to check our mail. When we got back to the Minnie it was time for lunch so mom made Chicken and Dumplings soup for dad and her. She gave me a little snack. After lunch I went outside to sun. When I finished sunning mom and dad went to the gym for a couple of hours. On the way back from the gym they stopped by Lowe's to look at flooring and cabinets. When they finally got home it was 3:30 so I had time to sun a little. While I was sunning mom worked on her Sudoku and dad did some research on cabinets and flooring. At 4:30 mom went outside and barbecued some barbecue seasoned chicken for dad and her dinner. I went outside with her so I could keep her company. When the chicken was ready mom fed dad and then she fed me my food for my dinner. After dinner mom gave me a little bit of her chicken and a chicken bone. When I finished my bone mom took me for my night walk around the property. During our walk we stopped by to say hi to King and Kujo. On the way home we stopped by to say hi to Baby. When we got home we went inside for the rest of the evening. For dessert mom baked some blueberry muffins. We had a very nice and relaxing day. I hope that you did, too. Good Night.

Today we woke up at 6:30. Mom couldn't sleep so she crawled out of bed and dad followed her out of bed. Mom fed me my breakfast and then mom and dad got dressed. When I finished eating my breakfast I decided to groom a little. While I was grooming mom made breakfast for dad and herself. Dad had toast and mom had cinnamon and spice oatmeal. After everyone was fed we went on our morning walk around the property. When we started our walk the sun was just starting to come up. When we got back to the Minnie mom put a cooler together and then she sat down with dad and relaxed for about an hour. Today mom and dad are going to a couple of shows so they left me at home. As they were leaving mom gave me a little bit of my food for a snack. When I finished my snack I went to mom's chair and watched them drive away. The first show they stopped at was the Central Texas Barrel Racers at the Exposition Center but nothing was going on until 12 so they left and went to the Tri-City Gem and Mineral Show at the Mayborn Convention Center. When they got to the show hardly anyone was there. They walked around the show and looked at the different gems and minerals. The vendors displayed their ware very nicely. The vendors had jewelry, polished stones, beautiful sand stones, animals curved from stones, lights made from stones, some of the stones had fossils in them and made designs out of splash copper. The Ruins booth was very nice and John and Kay Langston had a lot of talent. Kay made gorgeous faces on poaches out of beads. Mom and dad stopped and talked to a couple of vendors. They had a nice time. They were at the gem show for about an hour and then they came back home to me. When they got home I was sleeping so I didn't greet them at the door. I didn't even get out from under the table. Mom and dad relaxed for about a half hour and then mom made lunch. She made Grilled Chicken & Sausage Gumbo soup for dad and herself and she gave me a little snack. After lunch mom and dad went back to the Exposition Center. They were there for a couple of hours. They had fun watching the barrel races. When they got back home mom decided to workout for an hour and half. While mom workout I went outside and sunned and dad did a little research on cabinets and flooring. As we were relaxing our new neighbor's had her fifth wheel delivered to the new site. After the guy delivered it he left. We didn't meet her because she never showed up. When she finished it was time for dinner so she barbecued some seasoned pork ribs. I went outside and kept mom company while she was barbecuing.      When mom finished barbecuing we went inside and mom fed me my food for my dinner. Then she sat down with dad and had dinner with him. After they finished dinner mom gave me a little bit of her pork and then she did dishes. When she finished dishes she took me for a walk. Today we didn't see any of my friends. When we got home we went inside and relaxed for about an hour. Then mom and dad got dressed to go to the Rodney Crowell Concert at the Mayborn Civic Center. As they were leaving mom gave me a snack and said good-bye. When I finished my snack I watched them drive away. They were gone for 3 and half hours. Rodney Crowell is a country singer-songwriter and record producer. He was influenced by Guy Clark and Townes Van Zandt. He played guitar and sang with Emmylou Harris for three years. He was married to Rosanne Cash and has three daughters. Mom and dad had a very enjoyable evening listening to Rodney Crowell and his band. By the time they got home it was 10:15. I greeted them at the door to say hi. After everyone said hi mom made my bed. They relaxed for 45 minutes before they called it a night. Mom usually stays up until midnight but tonight she was tired so she went to bed at 11:00 shortly after dad went to bed. Before she went to bed she gave me my night snack. After I finished my snack I went to my bed and called it a night.

Today we woke up at 6:30 again. I think this may be our normal time that's ok with me. When we woke up it was raining so no one was in any hurry. Dad got up first and started to get dressed. Shortly after dad got up mom crawled out of bed. Before she got dressed she fed me my breakfast. After mom got dressed she made breakfast for dad and herself. Dad had toast and mom had maple and brown sugar oatmeal and they both had almond milk. After everyone was fed mom did the dishes. When she finished dishes she was ready to take me for my morning walk but dad asked her to wait until the sun got up. She said sure thing and sat down and worked on her Sudoku for about a half hour. When it was time to go for our walk it was still drizzling so mom and dad got an umbrella. I didn't care that it was drizzling because I really had to go out. After I took care of business we went back to the Minnie. When we got inside mom got a towel and wiped me down. The rain slowed down and we decided to hang around the Minnie so mom decided to do laundry. While the laundry was washing and drying mom worked on her Sudoku, I slept and dad did some research. Finally when mom was finished with laundry it was time for lunch so she made soup for dad and herself. She gave me a little snack. After we finished eating we went to the storage center for a hair dryer because mom decided to defrost the refrigerator. Mom decided to defrost the refrigerator because there was so much ice on the coils that the refrigerator had a hard time keeping things cool. While mom was working on the refrigerator she was cooking chicken for Jambala she making for square dancing tomorrow. Mom worked on the refrigerator for an hour and half. Mom thanked dad for suggesting the hair dryer otherwise it would have taken a lot longer. After she finished defrosting the refrigerator she worked on my book until the chicken cooled off mom cut it up and she cut up some sausage to go in the Jambala. When mom finished cutting up the chicken and sausage it was time for dinner. Mom made a Belgium waffle for dad and her dinner. Mom fed me my food for my dinner. After dinner mom took me out and when she got back she made the Jambala. After she finished she worked on my book until 7:00 when our shows came on the television. We had a very relaxing day because it rained on and off all day. Now it's time to say good-bye. LIFE IS GOOD!!!!

Monday October 14, 2013

Today we woke up at 6:45. It rained last night so we weren't in any hurry to get out of bed. Dad crawled out of bed and started to get dressed. Mom crawled out shortly after dad and fed me my breakfast. When mom finished getting dressed she made breakfast for dad and herself. Dad had toast and mom had maple and brown sugar oatmeal. After breakfast mom did dishes and put a cooler together. Afterwards we went on our morning walk. When we got back mom and dad went to town to look at flooring. They wanted to get other flooring companies to bid on our new house because they thought House of Floors were a little high. So they went to Discount Floors in Temple. As they were leaving mom gave me a snack and then said good-bye. After I finished my snack I watched them drive away. They were gone a couple of hours. Joe was the salesman that helped them at Discount Floors. After they found a ceramic tile and a laminate floor they liked, Joe figured out the square footage. Mom and dad were surprised that Joe was measuring out the square footage by hand and not using a computer program. While he measured things out mom and dad walked around and looked at more flooring. Joe gave them a rough estimate of square footage for the laminate flooring 750 feet and gave them the cost of the tile they liked. Joe also told mom and dad that he could probably beat the price on the granite in the kitchen. Dad asked Joe how long it would take him to get back on the cost. Joe told him it would take a couple of days. Mom and dad thanked him and then they came back to me. When they got back to me I met them at the door and said hi. Afterwards mom made lunch. She made soup for dad and her lunch and she gave me a snack. After lunch we relaxed a little bit and then mom and dad went to the gym for a couple of hours. When they got back mom worked on my book and dad read. I stayed inside because it has been sprinkling on and off all day and the ground was too wet to lay on. About 4:00 mom convinced me to go out for a walk. As we were walking around Larry stopped us and told us that he was retired. Mom congratulated him on it. While mom and Larry were talking my friend Kujo came to see us. His dad King was mad at him because he ran off when he heard us talking. So King picked him up and took him home. After visiting with Larry we finished our walk and then we went home. When we got home mom made dinner. Mom and dad had bacon wraps for dinner and I had my food. After dinner we relaxed for about an hour and then mom and dad got ready to go to their square dancing lesson. This week their lesson was on Monday instead of Tuesday because Dale was covering for another caller Dennis. The lesson was at The First Methodist Church in Eddie. The lesson was longer than normal because they stop in the middle of class and have dinner. Mom and dad don't like going to a pot luck without a dish so mom made jambalaya with chicken and sausage in it. She really didn't need to bring anything because there was plenty of food. Mom and dad were thinking about go to square dancing lessons in Eddy on Mondays and go to square dancing lessons in Belton on Tuesdays. But they decided they would stay just going on Tuesdays because Dale's lessons are ahead of Dennis's lessons. Mom and dad had a great time dancing and meeting new people. By the time they got back to me it was after 10:00. I greeted them at the door to say hi. Afterwards we sat down and relaxed for a little bit before calling it a night.
